Install SSL on Plesk Server

Follow this simple guide to upload and activate your EchoSSL certificate on a server managed by the Plesk control panel.

Prerequisites

First, download the .zip file from EchoSSL and extract the certificate.crt, private.key, and ca_bundle.crt files.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Log in to Plesk
    Access your Plesk control panel.
  2. Go to SSL/TLS Certificates
Navigate to the Websites & Domains tab and locate the domain you wish to secure. Click on SSL/TLS Certificates.
  3. Upload Certificate Files
On the SSL/TLS Certificates page, find the section named "Upload the certificate as text" or similar. Open each of your certificate files (certificate.crt, private.key, and ca_bundle.crt) in a text editor.
  4. Paste the File Contents
Copy the contents of each file and paste them into their respective fields in Plesk:
    • Paste private.key into the Private key (*.key) box.
    • Paste certificate.crt into the Certificate (*.crt) box.
    • Paste ca_bundle.crt into the CA certificate (*-ca.crt) box.
Once all fields are filled, click Upload Certificate.
  5. Enable the Certificate on Your Domain
Go back to the Websites & Domains tab for your domain and click on Hosting Settings.
  6. Activate SSL
In the "Security" section, ensure the SSL/TLS support checkbox is enabled. From the Certificate dropdown menu, select the certificate you just uploaded. Click OK or Save at the bottom of the page.
